Up to 100+ playersBaccarat is one of the oldest and most respected games in casino history. From the high-end tables of Monte Carlo to the VIP rooms of Macau, it has always been the game of choice for players who know what they want — solid odds, fast gameplay and an air of exclusivity. At Vegas123, we bring all of that directly to your screen, whether you're at home, in the office or catching a break at your favourite kopitiam.
Many people assume baccarat is complicated and reserved for a certain crowd. In reality, it's one of the easiest casino games to learn. Unlike poker, which demands deep strategic skill, or blackjack, where you need to memorize basic strategy charts – baccarat only requires one decision before each round: bet on Banker, Player, or Tie. That's it. Everything else is handled automatically by the dealer according to fixed, unchanging rules.
In each baccarat round at Vegas123, the dealer deals two cards to each side – Banker and Player. Card values are counted as follows: numbered cards (2–9) are worth their face value, picture cards (J, Q, K) and 10 are worth zero, and Aces are worth one. If the total of two cards exceeds 9, only the second digit counts – for example, 7+8=15, so the value is 5.
The side with a total card value closest to 9 wins. If both sides tie, the result is a Tie. Under certain conditions, either the Banker or Player may draw a third card according to the predetermined "third card rule" – the dealer handles this automatically, so there's nothing for you to worry about.
At Vegas123, each classic baccarat round takes around 48 seconds. If you prefer a faster pace, Speed Baccarat completes every round in just 27 seconds – making it one of the quickest live casino games you can play.
First and foremost, it's important to understand that baccarat is a game of chance – no strategy can guarantee a 100% win rate. That said, experienced players around the world do use certain approaches to maximise their odds and manage their bankroll more effectively.
The Banker bet is the statistically optimal choice in baccarat. With a house edge of just 1.06% – the lowest of any betting option at the casino – Banker offers the best long-term win probability, even after accounting for the 5% commission on each win. If you're playing at a Vegas123 No Commission table, that commission disappears entirely, making it an even stronger value.
The Road Map is a tool used by most experienced baccarat players. Vegas123 provides a full suite of road maps for every live table, including the Bead Road, Big Road, Big Eye Boy, Small Road, and Cockroach Road. While baccarat outcomes are technically independent of one another, many players find road maps helpful for spotting patterns and making decisions with greater confidence.
Bankroll management is the key to long-term success in baccarat. Set a loss limit before you start – for example RM 200 per session – and stick to it without compromise. If you hit that limit, stop and come back another time. On the flip side, if you land a big win, consider locking in a portion of your profits and continuing to play only with the remainder. Vegas123 provides betting limit control tools within your account to help you manage your bankroll with greater discipline.
